Tom established Tom Black Architects in 2011 with ten years' experience in the architectural profession, having previously worked for large practices in North-West England.
Tom is enthusiastic about architecture, with a passion for design and a particular interest in mixed-use development. Prior to establishing Tom Black Architects, Tom worked as a project architect on high-profile mixed use urban developments, sport stadia, offices, social and private sector housing and education facilities.
Since its establishment, Tom Black Architects has worked primarily on private residential projects, both for commercial property developers and for individual owner-occupiers. A growing part of the business deals with developments involving industrial buildings for multi-national concerns. Tom Black Architects has participated in a joint venture with another practice to undertake a larger commission.
